Annexation of Hawaii

This political cartoon is on the situation of the annexation of Hawaii. The debate of weather it is proper to annex Hawaii. The cartoonist message is showing that the annexation of Hawaii has brought us new markets, industries, and prosperity. The cartoon is also showing Hawaii as a daughter of Uncle Sam who personifies the U.S. An other opinion, looking at the Philippines report is going against my opinion because troops are forcefully taking the Philippines. The cartoon uses lots of labeling like for the reports of the U.S colonies. The cartoon uses an analogy when it compares Hawaii to a daughter of Uncle Sam. This cartoon supports my opinion because it is showing how imperialism is positive in many different ways.
